At Petone Physio your health and safety and that of our staff is a responsibility we continue to take very seriously. Under the current Covid-19 protection framework and with guidance from the Ministry of Health, the Physiotherapy Board and ACC we will be doing the following to ensure we keep our community safe

  • All staff will be fully vaccinated – as mandated by the Covid-19 protection framework

  • As a Health provider we will be asking your vaccination status but do not require you to scan your vaccination passport. This information is asked so we can provide you with the safest treatment options for both you and our staff

  • When booking a new appointment, you will be asked screening questions over the phone and emailed a consent form. All follow up appointment texts will include a reminder about rescheduling, or booking a telehealth appointment if you have any flu like symptoms

  • We are encouraging people to attend appointments alone unless absolutely necessary ie guardians attending with children, interpreters or essential support people. This is to reduce the amount of people in our treatment rooms and common areas

  • Masks will be required by everyone in the clinic (except those with exemptions and children under 12 yrs)

  • There will be continued extra cleaning between appointments, and of common contact points. We will also continue to have social distancing in the waiting area

Appointments for unvaccinated clients

We respect an individuals’ right to choose and will continue to offer access to physio services to all clients. In the interests of the health and safety of all our clients and staff we request that unvaccinated clients be seen at the first appointments of the day between 7.30-8.30 am or 6.00-7.00pm. You will also be required to wear a medical mask (rather than a cloth one – which we can provide for a small cost)
