At Petone Physiotherapy we have a hardworking team of physiotherapists, who work closely with our administration team to deliver the best service to our clients. Find out a little bit more about them here!
Dip. Phyty, Dip.Manip.Phyty, MPNZ
Jo is the principal of the business and has been working in the heart of Petone for over 20 years.
She did her undergraduate physiotherapy study in Otago and returned to complete post graduate study in manipulative physiotherapy. Jo loves being part of the local community and helping people reach their full potential. She believes not only in the benefits of hands on therapy but also education and exercise to empower people to manage and prevent their problems from reoccurring. As part of this philosophy she takes small mat work pilates classes with a rehab focus. She is also a Certified Mulligan practitioner and works onsite and offsite providing Occupational physiotherapy services.
Outside of work Jo loves to ski and has been slowly working her way through her karate belts!
Emma is a full time physiotherapist at the clinic, who graduated from the University of Otago. She moved from Nelson to Wellington to join the staff at Petone Physio in January 2017. She is currently completing a Certificate in Manual Therapy through NZMPA, which she will complete in 2019.
She is interested in sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, return to work/sport planning, and pain management. She is currently running the clinic’s falls prevention class, with the aim of improving the quality of life of older adults in the community. For the 2019 rugby season, you’ll spot Emma working on the sideline with Wainuiomata RFC as a team physiotherapist.
Outside of work, Emma loves to spend her free time exploring the Wellington and Greater Wellington region.

When he is not working Steve plays basketball, is an active member of the Seido Karate club and travels whenever possible.
